I am both excited and totally nervous about starting this 31 day series. I had a hard time narrowing down my topic, but finally felt settled about the one I have chosen. For the next 31 days, I will be writing on being intentional about spiritual growth.
I am excited about this series, for a couple of reasons. First, I desire to encourage believers. Mainly, to not settle for a shallow faith, but to dive into the depths of fully knowing Christ. Second, I desperately need to spend time studying this, looking deep into it, and living it out myself.
But, I am nervous too. Honeslty, I am not sure I can do this for 31 days straight. I am not a planner. I have ideas that I jot down as soon as they come to mind. There are scriptures I want to study, that I have listed out. I have resources that I want to share as well. But please be aware, I have no solid plans. My prayer is that God would lead me through the things he has already laid on my heart, and use this series to grow me, and hopefully some of you too!
So, in light of that, here are some things you should know:
- This will not be a to-do list. I believe that God is the one who grows us, and our efforts are to yield to what he is doing, revealing and leading us in. So, while there will be practical advice and some great resources, I am not going to lay out a clear and concise plan. (For those of you who know me, you are probably sighing with great relief, since I have never, in my life, had a clear and concise plan for ANYTHING!).
- I won’t be posting pictures of our time in Bangkok during this series throughout October. I WILL be posting all month long on my Instagram account, so click here to follow our daily lives in Bangkok. (Who knows how many different kinds of random flavored chips I will find this month?!?!) I will resume my normal weekly pics in November.
- Some of the topics I will be covering are repentance, wisdom, the cross, listening, meditating, time with God in His Word, time in prayer, worship, community and grace. I may even call in a little help with a couple of these! If there is something specific you would like to read about, let me know!
My prayer is that God would use this in our lives to grow us up in our faith some. That we would know him more fully, and run after him with greater abandon. I hope you will join me! So, with nervous excitement, I am kicking off my 31 Days……right now!

Day 24-A Story of Growth
Are you a busy woman juggling faith, work, home and family?
I am too.
Sometimes women like us can get so focused on helping others that we forget to take some time for ourselves. We don’t set aside time to spend with God, and workouts fall to the wayside. I get it. Sometimes I feel like I don’t have another minute in my day to spare, and Lord knows I . But, if we don’t take our spiritual and physical health seriously, we won’t be able to get all of our other stuff done well. We will end up a hot mess of frustration and anxiety. I hear ya’ sister…the struggle is real!
That’s why I am committed to helping women like you refocus their faith and get in shape so that they are spiritually and physically strong and healthy enough to do what God has called them to!
